Haiti was the second colony of American independence, after United States, the third Republic in the modern world and perhaps the only ended in a successful slave insurrection. In the haitian experience, interspersed both the social revolution and the anti-colonial struggle for independence against three european powers: England, France and Spain. In addition, shortly after independence, Haitian society were in various experiments to establish a new political system and socio-economic system.
