I10-R307-article-221612021-06-01T21:54:34Z Human rights, rural work and the use of agrochemicals in Argentina. Análisis normativo (1994-2014) Sánchez Enrique, Daniela rural labor agrochemicals human rights DESC trabajo rural agroquímicos derechos humanos DESC Reports of the ILO and WHO, on diseases and accidents, ensure that the use of agrochemicals & pesticides causes some seventy thousand deaths by poisoning each year, and at least seven million cases of diseases, both acute and long-term. However, the scale of this problem, there has not been incorporated into the new law of agricultural labor in Argentina. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to analyze the problems of agrochemicals linked to rural work in Argentina (1994-2014), from a regulatory point of view. We plan to investigate other national laws and international human rights treaties ratified by Argentina, may be invoked to protect the agricultural workers rights associated with exposure and use of agrochemicals. To analyze this problem, we study international treaties on Human Rights on this issue, ratified by our country, as well as national standards and public policies related to the use of chemicals in Argentina.
