Subsequently, it links the crisis of these phenomena with the current global context, in which we are witnessing a process of reconfiguration of the world order and a radical modification in international relations. Specifically, the role of the United States in the Russian-Ukrainian war is taken into account, and the consequent changes in the correlation of forces at a global level. Finally, questions arise about the opportunities that this situation can generate for peripheral countries such as the Argentine Republic. El presente artículo realiza un análisis histórico del surgimiento del neoliberalismo y del proyecto imperial norteamericano de fines del siglo XX como fenómenos que se encuentran relacionados intrínsecamente. Posteriormente, vincula la crisis de dichos fenómenos con el actual contexto global, en el que se asiste a un proceso de reconfiguración del orden mundial y a una modificación radical en las relaciones internacionales. En forma específica, se tiene en cuenta el rol de los Estados Unidos frente a la guerra ruso-ucraniana, y las consiguientes modificaciones en la correlación de fuerzas a nivel global. Por último, se abren interrogantes acerca de las oportunidades que esta situación puede generar para los países periféricos como la República Argentina. Centro de Estudios Avanzados.
