The aim is to identify the degree of participation in workers' struggles according to contracting forms of the interviewed group. In the case of the labor struggles of the 2007-2011 period, the workers involved in the various forms of collective action specifically questioned the exploitative working conditions inherent in the cooperative system that does not guarantee the simple reproduction of themselves and their families. We also wondered about the labor identity of those who participated in the struggles. During 2014 and 2015, as part of my doctoral thesis, our research team conducted 161 interviews with a sample of workers in the fishing industry. A structured interview was implemented in the field, lasting approximately one hour, with open-ended questions (characteristic of clinical interviews and in-depth interviews) and pre-coded answers (typical of surveys).
