The global extension of the Internet and the generalized use of a wide variety of digital interaction technologies currently mingle with the isolation and social distancing conditions that our bodies’ vulnerability reduces us to. In this context, the ethnography applied to digitally mediated contexts emerges, at least initially, as a possible alternative to a transformed reality. The following text recaptures some of the reflections that arose from the field work in these contexts during my Final Degree Research Work in Anthropology, an ethnographic experience focused on describing and analyzing the progressive emergence of the temporary rental digital platform, Airbnb, in Valle de Calamuchita, Córdoba, Argentina. With the aim of contributing to current debates regarding new ways of making ethnography, I recover the theoretical and methodological strategies and tools that allowed me in the above mentioned opportunity to turn the digital experience into another instance of field work, and think about it as such.  Durante los últimos años, lo digital se ha expandido de maneras muy diversas, a punto tal que resulta difícil pensar en algo que actualmente no se vea afectado, directa o indirectamente, por el proceso de digitalización. La extensión planetaria de Internet y el uso generalizado de tecnologías de interacción digital de la más variable índole se entraman hoy con las condiciones de aislamiento y distanciamiento social a las que nos reduce la vulnerabilidad de nuestros cuerpos. En este marco, la etnografía aplicada a contextos digitalmente mediados emerge como una alternativa posible de cara a una realidad transformada, al menos inicialmente. El siguiente escrito retoma algunas de las reflexiones que surgieron al hacer trabajo de campo en estos contextos durante mi Trabajo Final de Licenciatura en Antropología, una experiencia etnográfica enfocada en describir y analizar la emergencia progresiva de la plataforma digital de alquileres temporales Airbnb en el Valle de Calamuchita, Córdoba, Argentina.
