There, we work with young people who attend sixth year in the evening shift. In our work, gender appears as a variable that enables the expression of a political position which allows making visible the situations of inequality that both discourses and institutions reproduce. This gender perspective allows us to question relationships of inequality and the concentrated and normalized roles that are assigned to each gender. Although we are going through a crisis of paradigms regarding what it is to be a man or a woman, it seems that what is happening with the representations of femininity doesn’t have a counterpart in the masculinities. In this sense, our first approach is oriented to the importance of reflecting about masculinitiestogether with young people. In this instance, we measure the articulations concerning the differential socialization and its influence in the reproduction of the hegemonic masculinityin young men of a secondary school. This becomes relevant to understand the process by which people internalize certain behavior patterns of the socio-cultural environment they take part in, especially those related to the social category of hegemonic masculinity. This offers a number of elements to reflect upon mandates regarding hegemonic masculinity. Based on these reflections, we have tested approaches to contribute to the understanding and generation of new questions in relation to masculinities. With such an end, one must consider young men as a social group conditioned by collective discourses. The difficulty of favoring spaces of reflection and criticism about gender discourses is a consequence of these being naturalized and invisible and of the subjective implications they provoke. For this, we consider it importantto resort to a relational analysis of gender to inquire about the forms of socialization, interactions and roles. Though gender can be lived as an individual experience, the moment we reflect upon it one must transfer those experiences to the social framework and relate them to the differential socialization process.

El presente escrito deriva de una investigación-acción cualitativa realizada en una Institución Provincial de Educación Media (I.P.E.M.) ubicada en el Barrio Alberdi de la Ciudad de Córdoba en la que trabajamos junto a jóvenes de 6° año del turno tarde.En nuestro trabajo, el género aparece como una variable que posibilita expresar una posición política que permite visibilizar las situaciones de desigualdad que los discursos y las instituciones reproducen. Esta perspectiva de género nos permite desnaturalizar las relaciones de inequidad, los roles cristalizados y normalizados que se asignan a cada género. Aunque estemos transitando una crisis paradigmática respecto a lo que implica ser varón y ser mujer, pareciera que lo que sucede con las representaciones entorno a la feminidad no tiene un correlato en las masculinidades. En este sentido, nuestra primera aproximación se orientó a la importancia de reflexionar respecto de las masculinidades junto a lxs jóvenes.En esta instancia valoramos las articulaciones relativas a la socialización diferencial y su influencia en la reproducción de la masculinidad hegemónica en jóvenes varones de una escuela media. Esto resulta relevante para comprender el proceso en que las personas hacen suyas determinadas pautas de comportamiento del entorno socio-cultural del que forman parte, fundamentalmente lo relativo a la categoría social de masculinidad hegemónica.Esto nos ofrece algunos elementos para reflexionar sobre los mandatos en torno a la masculinidad hegemónica. Con base en esas reflexiones, ensayamos aproximaciones para contribuir a la comprensión y generación de nuevos interrogantes en relación con las masculinidades. Con ese fin, se deben considerar a los jóvenes varones como un grupo social atravesado por discursos colectivos. La dificultad para generar espacios de reflexión y crítica en torno a los discursos de género, es consecuencia de la naturalización e invisibilización de los mismos y de la implicancia subjetiva que provocan. Por ello, creemos importante recurrir a un análisis relacional de género para indagar sobre las formas de socialización, las interacciones y los roles. Si bien el género puede ser vivido como una experiencia individual, al momento de reflexionar se debe extrapolar esas vivencias al entramado social y vincularlas con los procesos de socialización diferencial.
