My intention here is to address some widely circulated anime from the 90s and 2000s aimed at a young audience, in which it is possible to recognize slight deviations from heteronormativity within heterosexual, cisgender, and misogynistic narrative and affective scripts. In an attempt to reclaim queer discomfort (Ahmed, 2015) without presenting exemplary subjects to broaden queer representations, we propose identifying queer gestures (Muñoz, 2018) in the classic figure of the “lecherous old man”, within anime where erotic elements and gender bender come into play. There are hints of non-normative sexualities deeply linked to forms of misogynistic violence, so that the norm and its discussion appear intertwined. Therefore, I aim to draw on the notion of an “archive” as explored by theorists such as Ann Cvetkovich (2018), to point out how these materials can be part of a queer feelings archive. El presente trabajo retoma el concepto de “baja teoría” (Halberstam, 2018), referido a un modo de recuperación de determinados materiales como dibujos animados infantiles, performances vanguardistas y arte queer. Mi intención aquí es abordar algunos animes de circulación masiva entre los años 1990 y 2000 destinados a un público joven, en los cuales es posible reconocer pequeñas desviaciones de la heteronormatividad, dentro de guiones narrativos y afectivos heterosexuales, cisgénero y machistas. En un intento por recuperar la incomodidad queer (Ahmed, 2015) sin presentar sujetos ejemplares para abrir las representaciones queer, proponemos encontrar gestos queer (Muñoz, 2018) en la figura clásica del “viejo libidinoso”, dentro de animes en donde intervienen elementos eróticos y cambios de género. Existen guiños a sexualidades antinormativas profundamente vinculadas a formas de la violencia machista, de modo tal que la norma y su discusión aparecen imbricadas. Pretendo por ello servirme de la noción de “archivo”, trabajada por teóricas como Ann Cvetkovich (2018) para señalar cómo estos materiales pueden formar parte de un archivo de sentimientos queer.
