The hypothesis isthat the outbreak of the dictatorships motivated, at the same time, a process of dismantlingthe testimony in its foundations of truth and argumentative transparency, as well as aprogressive reconfiguration of this aesthetic current from approaches that assumed theconcept of ambiguity as a sine qua non condition for the exercise of ideas. In this sense, thework proposes a double objective. First, to identify the most significant aspects of the theoriesthat approached this tradition from a critical perspective with the ideological dogmatism. Andsecond, to investigate how this aesthetic current is redefined in the works of Pedro Lemebeland María Moreno, two representative writers of the processes of dismantling the testimonyin the Southern Cone. Este trabajo analiza los cambios que se produjeron en la literatura testimonial del Cono Sur tras la derrota de los proyectos revolucionarios de las décadas de 1960 y 1970. La hipótesis es que el estallido de las dictaduras motivó tanto un proceso de desmontaje del testimonio en sus fundamentos de verdad y transparencia argumentativa, como una progresiva reconfiguración de esta corriente a partir de enfoques que asumieron el concepto de ambigüedad como una condición sine qua non del ejercicio de las ideas. Frente a esas circunstancias, el trabajo sepropone un doble objetivo. Por una parte, identificar los aspectos más significativos de las teorizaciones que abordaron dicha tradición desde una perspectiva crítica con los dogmatismos ideológicos. Y por otra, indagar cómo se redefine esta corriente estética en las obras de Pedro Lemebel y María Moreno, dos escritores representativos de los procesos de desmontaje del testimonio en el Cono Sur.
