Sumario:The paper proposes an approach on the potentialities of the municipal books of minutes as sources for the study of diverse historiographical problems within the framework of the national territory`s regime. For that purpose, it focuses in the municipal archives located in the current province of Misiones, that hold documentations of greater antiquity regarding this period. Firstly, the general characteristics of these sources are presented, addressing both their most favorable and unfavorable aspects. Afterwards, the documentation held in these archives is presented, indicating its current accessibility and conservation. Lastly, several historiographical problems that could benefit from consulting these sources are appointed.
