En este breve artículo, compartimos algunos aspectos de la experiencia de haber trabajado durante la tesis de grado, con el diario Jornada cómo única fuente documental. El potencial que este diario ofrecía como documento histórico para dar respuesta a las preguntas que guiaban nuestra investigación, nos llevó a trabajarlo de manera exhaustiva, no sólo para digitalizar parcialmente la fuente hermerográfica y facilitar la consulta a la misma, sino también para poder aprehender sus alcances, sus límites y su utilidad para la investigación histórica de la región.
