In this particular case, the intention is to complement the studies related to the receipt of the aforementioned 98 Cuban press in Argentina. Specifically its questioned a rather elaborate journalistic source called Cuba Libre and its continuation La República de Cuba. The speeches and the interventions coming from these sources present an alternative view to the one most developed by the nineteenth-century press El proceso independentista cubano de 1898 se erige como un hecho social plausible de ser analizado desde una gran diversidad de aristas. Las luchas por culminar con el dominio de España sobre la isla han generado una diversidad de investigaciones a ambos lados del océano. En este caso en particular, se intenta complementar los estudios vinculados a la discusión de una fuente periodística poco trabajada denominada Cuba Libre y su continuación La República de Cuba. Los discursos y las intervenciones presentes en las mismas refieren los hechos ocurridos desde una mirada alternativa a la desarrollada por la prensa decimonónica.
