The case of the newspaper El Pueblo in the city of Buenos Aires (1920-1946) Prensa católica, sociedad y política de masas. El caso del diario El Pueblo en la ciudad de Buenos Aires (1920-1946) Lida, Miranda prensa católica integrismo católico entreguerras Argentina catholic press catholic integrism interwar years Argentina The catholic journal El Pueblo, from Buenos Aires, had everything in order to become a modern editorial enterprise: a modern rotary, similar to the most important journals from Argentina; several spaces in the radio; great number of advertisements addressed to massive readers; attractive readers games. Nevertheless, this modern aspect got along with a pervasive rethoric of catholic crusade intended to catholize the whole society and by the way transform itself in a relevant actor in argentine politics. Thus, it is necessary to make use of a complex point of view to study this journal, considering transformations on its production, circulation and purchase, as well as the catholic movement of its time.
