Said workshop, aimed at various audiences, including primary and secondary level students and family groups, is one of the proposals that are carried out outside the institution's facilities, but is closely linked to the main sample of the Foundational Headquarters of the Museum. The use of the trail within an Extension activity accounts for other ways in which museums can participate in the dissemination of local histories, as well as in the enhancement, care and preservation of the local Cultural and Natural Heritage, of great importance for the inhabitants of Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego. En la presente comunicación se da a conocer el Taller de Arqueología “Caminito Expreso”, que forma parte del Programa Educativo “Explorando el Museo del Fin del Mundo”, Departamento de Extensión Museo del Fin del Mundo (Secretaría de Cultura, Gobierno de Tierra del Fuego AeIAS). Dicho taller, destinado a diversos públicos, entre ellos alumnos/as de nivel primario, secundario y grupos familiares, es una de las propuestas que se llevan a cabo fuera de las instalaciones de la institución, pero se vincula estrechamente con la muestra principal de la Sede Fundacional del Museo. El uso del sendero dentro de una actividad de Extensión da cuenta de otras de las formas en las que los museos pueden participar de la difusión de las historias locales, como así también en la puesta en valor, cuidado y preservación del Patrimonio Cultural y Natural local, de gran importancia para los/as habitantes de Ushuaia, y Tierra del Fuego.
