The concepts ser or to be someone, estar or to be located, great history and phagocytization will allow us to analyze, from different perspectives, this book that deals with internal and external exile, but above all, these concepts will invite us to focus on the importance of recovering and safeguarding individual and collective identity. In addition, it will become clear how essential culture in general and music and words in particular are in this process. In this sense, the proposal for the article will be to conceive the people in Moyano's book as a representation of the estar siendo and the threatening other that controls and tortures as a representation of the ser. El presente artículo se configurará como una propuesta de lectura capaz de enriquecer y potenciar conceptos transversales a la obra de Rodolfo Kusch y a Tres golpes de timbal (1989) de Daniel Moyano. Los conceptos ser o ser alguien, estar o estar situado, gran historia y fagocitación nos permitirán analizar desde diferentes perspectivas esta obra que tematiza el exilio interior y exterior, pero, sobre todo, nos invitarán a poner el foco en la importancia de recuperar y resguardar la identidad individual y colectiva. Además, quedará en evidencia cuán imprescindibles son, en ese proceso, la cultura en general y la música y la palabra en particular. En este sentido, la propuesta para este artículo será concebir al pueblo de la obra de Moyano como representación del estar siendo y a aquel otro amenazante que controla y tortura como representación del ser.
