description In this article we intend to analize the “place” of Esteco, a colonial city located in the province of Salta, Argentina, by studing the mobilities of different people that gathered around it. We include also an analysis of other mobilities that took place there, such as plagues, climatic changes, cattle raising, etc. Finally we compare them with the way in which landscapes were perceived and registered in written records in order to show how all this mobilities were intertwined and mutually constituted while creating mobile materialities and landscapes.
