description A present defined by an energetic re-interest in comics and the feminist struggle at a global level, finds the current situation of Argentine comics determined by the work of new female authors. During the last decade, Argentine female authors found in the fanzine format -inherited from the ‘80s and ‘90s- a way to build work and community at the side of a market that has a great tradition in the country, but always assured that they did not exist. The handmade creation and self-publication have allowed female authors to create collaborative links and an audience, in addition to appropriating a type of art that, from common sense, has been historically linked to male consumption and creation.
