This research pretends to provide keys concepts for the in-depth studies of the chapter acts on the colonial period in the socio-region of Córdoba. We agree that this contribution could help to reach a better comprehension of this kind of documents. The theoretical framework is based on Bajtin's studies. We approach the topical, compositional, and stylistic characteristics in a corpus of chapter acts from the second half of the XVII century. The Genre Discourse contributions allow us to make distinctions towards how the oficial institution shows itself among its own textual productions. This contribution has its origin in Linguistics and Discourse Analysis and carries the explicit proposal of an urgent need for interdisciplinary perspective, not only for a better acknowledgment of the current object but also for delimiting the questions that brought us to them.
