Given the diversity of experiences and projects, in this paper we are interested in addressing one of these in particular: the production of short films in secondary schools. In a first approach to the field, we observe that these proposals involve different aesthetics and modes of communication between young people, and also include different abilities and everyday experiences as a central axis of the educational process. In this regard, we believe that, in a certain way, these practices make possible for young people new modes of inhabiting at school, which stress or coexist with the set of traditions and institutional regularities imposed over time. In this article we intend: on the one hand, to recover some conceptualizations around audiovisual media and schools that help us discuss such practices; on the other hand, to characterize these educational projects based on an analysis of three cases carried out in different public schools of the city of Córdoba. En un contexto regional caracterizado por políticas públicas que promueven la inclusión de tecnologías digitales al sistema educativo, es posible encontrar prácticas docentes que incorporan el lenguaje audiovisual a los procesos de enseñanzas. Frente a la diversidad de experiencias y proyectos, desde este trabajo nos interesa abordar un modo en particular: la producción de audiovisuales en escuelas secundarias.A partir de las primeras aproximaciones al campo, observamos que  estas propuestas involucran estéticas y formas de comunicación de los jóvenes, e incorporan diferentes saberes y vivencias cotidianas como un eje central de los procesos educativos. En este sentido, creemos que desde allí, de alguna manera, se les está posibilitando a los estudiantes nuevos modos de habitar la escuela, que dialogan, tensionan y conviven con el conjunto de tradiciones y regularidades institucionales sedimentadas a lo largo del tiempo.Con este artículo nos proponemos por un lado, recuperar algunas conceptualizaciones en torno a medios audiovisuales y escuelas que nos ayudan a mirar y problematizar este tipo de prácticas; por el otro, empezar a caracterizar  estas propuestas educativas a partir del análisis de tres casos que se impulsan desde diferentes escuelas públicas de la ciudad de Córdoba.
