The organization of time and movement in urban life allow us to understand various factors in restructuring processes. The central case relates to the public holidays as a time management practices by the state, and aims to put into tension as its logics tend to subordinate or merge with the current capitalism and its constant flows. Este trabajo expone una reflexión sobre la organización del tiempo social y el movimiento en la vida urbana como parte de los fenómenos de cambio que atraviesan las prácticas sociales y las representaciones de diversos agentes en el contexto del actual modelo de acumulación. La organización del tiempo y el movimiento en la vida urbana permiten comprender diversos factores de los procesos de reestructuración. El caso central refiere a los feriados como prácticas de control del tiempo por parte del Estado y pretende poner en tensión cómo sus lógicas tienden a subordinarse o a fundirse con las del capitalismo actual y sus flujos constantes.
