The first notion is not strictly a copy of reality, an issue that had already been rejected by Plato, but an overflowing of the forms that transforms the natural order of things and occurs through the mediation of the poet’s mind. The second is a generating capacity that updates the necessary and universal on a contingent matter. Marechal takes from Plato the notion of poíesis as passage of non-being to being, but does not hesitate to incorporate Aristotelian terminology to provide a complete idea of poetic production. Finally, Marechal receipts the Aristotelian notion of kátharsis and performs the transposition of the effects of the tragedy to the comedy. Compassion, fear and ridicule are the cause of the purification and ascent of the soul. El presente artículo indaga sobre la recepción marechaliana de tres nociones fundamentales de la estética platónica y aristotélica, las nociones de mímesis, poíesis y kátharsis. La primera, no consiste en una copia estricta de la realidad, cuestión ya rechazada por Platón, sino en un desbordamiento de las formas que transforma el orden natural de las cosas y acontece por la mediación de la mente del poeta. La segunda, se trata de una capacidad generatriz que actualiza, en una materia contingente, lo necesario y lo universal. Marechal toma de Platón la noción de poíesis como pasaje del no ser al ser, pero no se priva de incorporar terminología aristotélica para ofrecer una idea acabada de la producción poética. Por último, Marechal recepta la noción aristotélica de kátharsis y realiza la transposición de los efectos de la tragedia a la comedia. La compasión, el temor y el ridículo son motivo de purificación y de ascenso del alma.
