description This article shares a series of reflections based on two experiences with elderly people in the framework of an extensionist student assistantship developed within the Elderly Adults Program of the Secretariat of University Extension (SEU-UNC), during the year 2022. In these experiences, strategies around narration and ethical deliberation were articulated with philosophical reflections, promoting the active exercise of the memory of the past and present. Within the framework of a position of defense for the human rights of the elderly, the work proposes to think about the experiences in dialogue with the readings developed by Hannah Arendt about the place of narration in the intersubjective condition of human existence. It is argued that articulating the extensionist practice with a human rights perspective, which enables the intersubjective and intergenerational encounter, can mean the possibility of democratic agency in the life experiences of the elderly. In conclusion, the paper proposes to institutionally root the extensionist practice in university teaching experiences. Advocating for a process of extension curricularization, it is argued that such an effort could constitute a significant contribution to the revaluation of territorial practices with extra-university agents.

El presente artículo comparte una serie de reflexiones a partir de dos experiencias con personas mayores en el marco de una ayudantía alumno extensionista desarrollada al interior del Programa de Adultos Mayores de la Secretaría de Extensión Universitaria (SEU-UNC), durante el año 2022. En dichas experiencias se articularon estrategias en torno a la narración y deliberación ética con reflexiones propiamente de la filosofía, propiciando el ejercicio activo de la memoria del pasado y presente. En el marco de una posición de defensa por los derechos humanos de las personas mayores, el trabajo propone pensar las experiencias acontecidas en diálogo con las lecturas desarrolladas por Hannah Arendt acerca del lugar de la narración en la condición intersubjetiva de la existencia humana. Se sostiene que articular la práctica extensionista con una perspectiva de los derechos humanos, que habilite el encuentro intersubjetivo e intergeneracional, pue- de significar la posibilidad de agenciamiento democrático en las experiencias de vida de las personas mayores. A modo conclusivo, el trabajo propone arraigar institucionalmente la práctica extensionista en las experiencias de enseñanza universitaria. Abogando por un proceso de curricularización de la extensión, se defiende que dicho esfuerzo podría constituir un aporte significativo a la revalorización de las prácticas territoriales con agentes extrauniversitarios. Este artigo compartilha uma série de reflexões a partir de duas experiências com pessoas idosas no âmbito de uma assistência estudantil extensionista desenvolvida no Programa Idosos da Secretaria de Extensão Universitária (SEU-UNC), durante o ano de 2022. Nessas experiências, estratégias baseadas na narração e na deliberação ética foram articuladas com reflexões filosóficas, incentivando o exercício ativo da memória do passado e do presente. No âmbito de uma posição de defesa dos direitos humanos dos idosos, o trabalho propõe pensar as experiências em diálogo com as leituras desenvolvidas por Hannah Arendt sobre o lugar da narração na condição intersubjetiva da existência humana. Argumenta-se que a articulação da prática extensionista com a perspectiva dos direitos humanos, que possibilita encontros intersubjetivos e intergeracionais, pode significar a possibilidade de agência democrática nas experiências de vida das pessoas idosas. Para concluir, o artigo propõe o enraizamento institucional da prática extensionista nas experiências de ensino universitário. Defendendo um processo de curricularização da extensão, argumenta-se que esse esforço poderia constituir uma contribuição significativa para a revalorização das práticas territoriais com agentes extra-universitários.
