Writer, sociologist, teacher and journalist. He was a leading intellectual figure of the National Chairs and a central actor in Argentine Sociology in the sixties and seventies. He worked as a contributor to Primera Plana magazine and La Opinion newspaper and taught at the University of Buenos Aires, the University of Salvador and the University of Mar del Plata. As a political militant of revolutionary Peronism, he was involved in Base Peronism and later in Montoneros. His main publications include: Sindicatos y Poder en la Argentina. Del Peronismo a la crisis (1967), Isidro Velázquez. Formas Pre revolucionarias de la violencia (1968), Poder Imperialista y liberación nacional. Las luchas del peronismo contra la dependencia (1973). The main of this paper is to understand, from the trajectory of Roberto Carri, broader processes that have to do with the history of Argentine sociology and its connection with political, cultural and social processes. In particular, it refers to the processes of political radicalization and the transformations of Peronism during those years. El presente trabajo analiza la trayectoria política y producción intelectual de Roberto Carri. Escritor, sociólogo, docente y periodista. Fue una figura intelectual destacada de las Cátedras Nacionales y un actor central de la Sociología Argentina en los años sesenta y setenta. Se desempeñó como colaborador en las revistas Primera Plana y en el diario La Opinión y dio clases en la Universidad de Buenos Aires, en la Universidad del Salvador y en la Universidad de Mar del Plata. Como militante político del peronismo revolucionario se vinculó al Peronismo de Base y luego a Montoneros. Entre sus principales publicaciones se destacan: Sindicatos y Poder en la Argentina. Del Peronismo a la crisis (1967), Isidro Velázquez. Formas Pre revolucionarias de la violencia (1968), Poder Imperialista y liberación nacional. Las luchas del peronismo contra la dependencia (1973). El objetivo de este trabajo consiste en comprender a partir de la trayectoria de Roberto Carri procesos más amplios que tienen que ver con la historia de la sociología argentina y su interrelación con procesos políticos, culturales y sociales.
