This gap in the access and use of technologies must be reduced to avoid the inequalities that emerge as a result of this with respect to the rest of society. This paper summarizes the main contributions of the project "Peddlers of mountain herbs as potential ecotourism guides of the Bamba and La Calera Nature Reserve: A participatory proposal for local socio-environmental and economic development" (SEU-UNC, 2017). The recovery of traditional ethnobotanical knowledge was promoted, as well as its sustainable use through different technological knowledge and resources. To this end, workshops were held with local schools and institutions, and a group of ecotourism guides was formed, which used their traditional knowledge and the tools acquired to carry out their work. It should be noted that one of the main ideas that make up this work is to build precompetitive technological capabilities, from human development, in contexts of inequality such as the one we are dealing with here. Based on this interactive learning experience, the actors involved in the rural area in the project were able to develop tools and abilities that allow them to incorporate themselves into the new social dynamics mediated by technologies legitimately and in the long term. Si bien las herramientas tecnológicas han crecido en todo el mundo, es mayor el retraso de su incorporación en el sector rural. Esta brecha en el acceso y uso de las tecnologías en los actores rurales deben reducirse para evitar las desigualdades que generan con el resto de la sociedad. En este trabajo se sintetizan los principales aportes del proyecto “Vendedores ambulantes de hierbas serranas como potenciales guías ecoturísticos de la Reserva Natural Bamba y La Calera: Una propuesta participativa para el desarrollo socio-ambiental y económico local” (SEU-UNC, 2017). Se promovió la recuperación del conocimiento etnobotánico tradicional, y su uso sustentable a través de diferentes conocimientos y recursos tecnológicos. Para ello se realizaron talleres con las escuelas e instituciones locales, y se conformó grupo de guías de ecoturismo, que se valieron de sus conocimientos tradicionales y las herramientas adquiridas para realizar su trabajo. Cabe destacar, que una de las ideas fundamentales que nuclean este trabajo, es la de construir capacidades tecnológicas precompetitivas, desde el desarrollo humano, en contextos de desigualdad como el que aquí abordamos. A partir de esta experiencia de aprendizaje interactivo, los actores involucrados del ámbito rural en el proyecto pudieron desarrollar herramientas y capacidades que les permitan incorporarse de manera legítima y a largo plazo en la nueva dinámica social mediada por las tecnologías.
