Five trainers participated in the study. Data were collected from a semi-structured interview. The influence of the family is significant for the insertion and maintenance in the sport, besides the prominence in the school, sport and professional environment as informal contexts of relevance for the professional choice. It is concluded that the environment and learning contexts become opportunities to acquire knowledge, values and beliefs that influence the personal and professional trajectory of the trainers. El objetivo fue analizar la influencia de los contextos sociales de los entrenadores de gimnasia rítmica, considerando el aprendizaje adquirido a lo largo de la vida. Cinco entrenadores participaron en el estudio. Los datos fueron recolectados de una entrevista semiestructurada. Este estudio se basa en el supuesto de que los contextos sociales son espacios y tiempos de aprendizaje relacionados con las elecciones y experiencias profesionales de los entrenadores. Se considera que la influencia de la familia es significativa para la inserción y el mantenimiento en el deporte, además del hecho destacado en el entorno escolar y deportivo como contextos de relevancia para la elección profesional. Se concluye que los diferentes contextos de aprendizaje se convierten en oportunidades para adquirir conocimientos, valores y creencias que influyen en la trayectoria personal y profesional de los entrenadores. O objetivo foi analisar a influência dos contextos sociais de treinadoras de Ginástica Rítmica, considerando as aprendizagens adquiridas ao longo da vida. Participaram do estudo cinco treinadoras. Os dados foram coletados a partir de uma entrevista semiestruturada. Este estudo baseia-se no pressuposto de que os contextos sociais são espaços e tempos de aprendizagem que se relacionam com as escolhas e experiências profissionais das treinadoras. Considera-se que a influência da família é significativa para a inserção e a manutenção no esporte, além do destaque no ambiente escolar e esportivo como contextos de relevância para a escolha profissional. Conclui-se que os contextos de aprendizagem tornam-se oportunidades de aquisição de conhecimentos, valores e crenças que influenciam a trajetória pessoal e profissional das treinadoras.
