P. pringlei and P. deyeuxioides are described, including synonymy, geographical distribution and habitat. These species are illustrated based on their vegetative and reproductive characters. Herbarium specimens are cited and a key to the two species is supplied. Se cita por primera vez el género Peyritschia para el Perú, representado por dos especies, P. pringlei y P. deyeuxioides. El género se describe y se diferencia en una clave de los géneros afines Trisetum y Deschampsia. P. deyeuxioides y P. pringlei se describen, incluyéndose sinónimos, distribución geográfica y hábitat.
