For the development of this study, a non-experimental, cross-correlation design was adopted, where 112 questionnaires were applied to the students and 10 questionnaires were applied to the teachers of the High School, in order to study the technological tools known and applied by students and teachers to strengthen the teaching-learning process. It was found that in the participating institution there is minimal use of multimedia tools in the classroom, however there is interest in technology issues. The development of attitudes and skills to generate more learning strategies is considered relevant to promote new projects with the implementation of technological tools. La presencia de la tecnología en la actual era de la información está creando nuevas demandas para los docentes en Instituciones a nivel básico. Se analizó la situación de la una Escuela Secundaria Técnica, la cual requiere de capacitación en el uso de las TIC a docentes para lograr la superación personal y profesional. La metodología desarrollada en el estudio adoptó un diseño no experimental, transversal correlacional, donde se aplicaron 112 cuestionarios a estudiantes y 10 cuestionarios a docentes de la Escuela Secundaria, con el objetivo de estudiar las herramientas tecnológicas que conocen y aplican los estudiantes y docentes dentro del aula. Se encontró que en la institución participante existe un mínimo uso de las herramientas multimedia dentro del aula, sin embargo sí existe interés en temas de tecnología. El desarrollo de actitudes y aptitudes para generar más estrategias de aprendizaje se considera relevante para impulsar nuevos proyectos con la implementación de herramientas tecnológicas.
