It gathers part of the unpublished correspondence that the German psychologist, nationalized Peruvian, maintained with diverse personalities of Peruvian and international psychology and culture. The book joins a set of publications related to the history of psychology in Peru that, although in the Andean country and many Latin American countries is not a widely studied field, is one of the areas that has more to explore, where authors such as Walter Blumenfeld can not be forgotten by any person related to psychology, whether student or professional. Tras cumplirse 80 años de la llegada del psicólogo alemán Dr. Walter Blumenfeld al Perú sale a la luz el libro Correspondencia entre Walter Blumenfeld y Edwin G. Boring (1956 – 1958), que reúne parte de la correspondencia inédita que el psicólogo alemán, nacionalizado peruano, mantuvo con diversas personalidades de la psicología y la cultura peruana e internacional. El libro se une a un conjunto de publicaciones relacionados a la historia de la psicología en el Perú que, si bien en el país andino y muchos países latinoamericanos no es un campo ampliamente estudiado, es una de las áreas que más tiene por explorar, en donde autores, como Walter Blumenfeld no pueden pasar al olvido por ninguna persona relacionada a la psicología, ya sea estudiante o profesional.
