La sistemática del contenido de la Criminología, entendiendo por tal el conjunto de las disciplinas que pueden integrarla, deja aún bastante que desear, lo que es explicable por dos razones : primera, por la juventud de tal disciplina, que, a diferencia del Derecho Penal, salvando precedentes, apenas si tiene ochenta años de vida; y segunda, porque en un buen número de países, la estructura de la misma se ha hecho "positivísticamente", y sabemos que el Positivismo, si bien aportó un progreso, se caracteriza respecto al método y sistemática, por la carencia de uno y otra.
