<dc:description xml:lang="es-ES">El siguiente texto pone en diálogo las concepciones de raza postuladas por Aníbal Quijano y Michel Foucault, en tanto pensamos que las mismas pueden articularse a partir de los dos enfoques diferentes frente problema. En el caso de Quijano un abordaje geopolítico y en el de Foucault, micropolítico. En este sentido, intentamos presentar las posturas teóricas sobre la raza que articulan cada uno junto con los complejos conceptuales a los que remiten y sus diferencias metódicas. Cuando me refiero a la concepción de raza en Aníbal Quijano hago referencia al concepto de "colonialidad del poder" y sus interrelaciones con otros conceptos (Estado, Capitalismo y Eurocentrismo). Por otro parte, cuando hablo de raza en Foucault, aludo a los trabajos genealógicos sobre los dispositivos micropolíticos y biopolíticos raciales que constituyen la "guerra de razas interna".
The present text compares Aníbal Quijano’s and Michel Foucault’s definitions of race as they have different approaches to the concept, Quijano’s one being geopolitical while Foucault’s is micro-political. I intend to show their theoretical stands about race and the conceptual complexes they refer to, as well as their methodological differences. When I speak of Aníbal Quijano’s idea of race I refer to the concept of "coloniality of power" and its relations with other concepts (state, capitalism, and eurocentrism). On the other hand, when I speak of race in Foucault I refer to his genealogical works on micro-political and bio-political racial devices that constitute the "internal war of races."</dc:description>
