Sumario: | The time evolution of the liquid holdup at different axial positions in a mini-pilot trickle bed reactor under ON-OFF liquid flow modulation is approximately estimated from the response of a set of conductimetric probes that mimic the packing. The probes are located within the system, without disturbing the flow, to get further insights on the influence of modulating the liquid flow rate on the local time variation of the liquid holdup. In addition, by probing at different axial positions, the effect of the bed depth on the response to the imposed modulation is analyzed. |
