Sumario:Gamma-irradiated sodium and lithium diborate compounds have both paramagnetic and thermoluminescent centres. ESR-TL correlation measurements indicate that the paramagnetic centres can only be related to the thermoluminescent processes taking place at temperatures higher than 150 degrees C when the heating rate is equal to or greater than 2 degrees C min -1.
