Comments on "linear waves and stability in ideal magnetohydrodynamics" (Physics of Fluids (1987) 30 (3673))
It is shown that the most dangerous modes for stability of the slab geometry case considered by Eckhoff are not flute modes but quasi-interchange perturbations. © 1989 American Institute of Physics.
