Sumario: | An electrochemical technique was used to measure the wall mass transfer coefficient in a trickle bed reactor in the pulsed-flow regime. Nitrogen-carboxymethyl cellulose solution was the system used and the influence of the liquid viscosity was studied. The instantaneous values of the coefficient showed fluctuations with time and position but the average values were correlated by. Sh/Sc 1 3 = 4.97 Re0.24 The results were compared with heat transfer measurements carried out in previous work and satisfactory agreement is observed. © 1985. |
