For she leaves it that the phenomenon of the urban expansion is associated to geomorphological hydro conditions s that together with the dynamics of the system, they define the appearance and growth of the city and its behavior, giving place to problematic in connection with the degradation of the environments and its population’s vulnerability that give place to a dynamic and complex space. El presente trabajo estudia las condiciones hidrogeomorfológicas distintivas del sitio sobre el cual se desarrolla el Área Metropolitana del Gran Resistencia (AMGR) desde el encuadre disciplinar de la Geografía. Para ello, se parte de la hipótesis que el fenómeno de la expansión urbana está condicionado por la dinámica del sistema hidrogeomorfólogico, el cual define la traza, comportamiento y posibilidades de crecimiento de la ciudad, dando lugar a problemáticas relacionadas con la degradación de los entornos y la vulnerabilidad de su población.
