This paper offers a socio-semiotic analysis of the speech from Eliseo Verón's perspective, assessing both its conditions of production and recognition. It examines the discursive strategies used to construct the object of "wokeism" and analyzes the responses and resignifications that emerged from various social and political sectors. The study aims to shed light on the debate over the meaning surrounding this concept and its impact on the configuration of today’s political and social context. El discurso del presidente de Argentina, Javier Milei, en el Foro Económico Mundial de Davos generó una notable repercusión en el debate público, en particular por su crítica radical a la denominada ideología “woke” y a la agenda progresista. Este trabajo realiza un análisis sociosemiótico de dicho discurso desde el enfoque de Eliseo Verón, atendiendo a sus condiciones de producción y de reconocimiento. Se examinan las estrategias discursivas desplegadas para construir el objeto “wokismo” y se analizan las respuestas y resignificaciones surgidas en distintos sectores sociales y políticos. El estudio permite comprender las disputas de sentido en torno a este concepto y su incidencia en la configuración del escenario político y social contemporáneo. Universidad Nacional del Nordeste.
