| Sumario: | Buildings, cities and landscapes reflect the cultural goals of a society. Every stage of its evolution is
reflected in the built production. Architects are a non-stop engine in the process of «making city» and thus,
adding to its character or modifying it.
The present preliminary work is aimed at students and those interested in the subject on the special
character of the contemporary architecture in Buenos Aires. We have considered «contemporary», in a quite
ample criterion, the architectural works of the last thirty years. The essays and itinerary included are by no
means an attempt to show all the production of these years but to enhance the examples which, following
the authors’ perception, are worth being considered part of Buenos Aires recent architectural heritage. |
