Sumario: | Buenos Aires is the town where we live, our place, and that is why it has been the starting
point of our project and still is the focus of all our research work. We have been surveying on
its architectural heritage for the last years, particularly on what was built during the 20th
century, since it is the one that has most influence in the current townscape identity. In doing
that, we aimed at training former students and course assistants in the practice of research
and critical analysis in order to improve their teaching and practicing skills and also to
improve their response as practitioners.
During the first stages of research and to be able to go in depth we have organised the study
by chronological chapters. The current stage of the work is based on integrating and
comprehending the architecture in its site and as an urban space maker and also on
understanding the townscape as a product of coexistence of different buildings and several
cultural contributions that enrich its heritage values. |
