| Sumario: | Southern Pozuelos is one of the areas with the greatest concentration of rock art in the Puna of Jujuy. Since the beginning of our research there, in 2004, we have found and recorded 27 rock art sites not published in the regional archaeological literature, which can be added to the existing ones in the surroundings of the Pukara of Rinconada, the most important settlement in the area during late pre-hispanic and Inka periods. Among the archaeological sites mentioned above, there is one that shows unique features in the area: Rio Herrana 14. In this paper we present its main features, describe the paintings and, finally, date them back to about 7000 years old according to existing evidences now available. |
