Sumario:Abstract: The question this paper aims to answer is how should courts analyze the outcomes of direct democracy mechanisms. The theoretical framework we choose is deliberative democracy theory. This theory provides us with arguments that let us say the level of deference courts should have for direct democracy outcomes is higher. Once we have said this, we will study to which degree Argentinian legislation satisfies some deliberative standard and thus, what is the level of deference Argentinian judges should have to direct democracy outcomes, concluding it is moderately high.
