Sumario:The work of Eduardo Berberián and Beatriz Bixio is a valuable contribution to studies on the formation of colonial Tucumán. The objective is to compile the most representative segments of chronicles, official reports, and various accounts relating to the discovery and early founding of Tucumán in the 16th century. The authors' intention is to provide researchers with documents that are difficult to access or whose publications are out of print. These records of the past offer information on the conquest and colonization projects, the territories, the indigenous groups, and the various actors who populated the borders of this region.
