The aim of this study was to undertake a preliminary analysis of the archaeopalynological assemblage, and thereby provide an insight into the availability of plant resources that might have been used by hunter-gatherers in the past. In so doing, the identification and interpretation of the pollen recovered from the site was carried out. The collated record shows a first pollen zone characterized by the predominance of herbaceous and arboreal-bushes, typical of a xerophilous forest. A second zone was observed around the 470±50 years BP mark. This zone suggests a relative increase in humidity, given the presence of typical vegetal taxa (v.g. Prosopis sp., Celtis sp. and Syagrus romanzoffiana) that have intrinsic qualities useful for the human subsistence. En este trabajo se presentan los resultados del análisis polínico realizado en el sitio arqueológico Familia Primón, el cual se localiza en una zona de transición de la planicie de inundación del Río Paraná (Santa Fe, Argentina). Este primer análisis del conjunto arqueopalinológico tiene como objetivo discutir cuestiones paleoambientales y también aproximarse a la disponibilidad de los recursos vegetales plausibles de ser aprovechados por los grupos humanos en el pasado. Para ello se llevó a cabo la identificación e interpretación del material polínico recuperado en el sitio. El registro evidencia una primera zona polínica caracterizada por la preponderancia de herbáceas y especies arbóreo-arbustivas típicas de bosques xerófilos. Hacia el 470±50 años AP, se observa una segunda zona, que muestra un aumento relativo en la disponibilidad de humedad dada la predominancia de taxa característicos de estos ambientes. A lo largo de toda la secuencia polínica se registra la presencia de especies vegetales (v.g. Prosopis sp., Celtis sp. y Syagrus romanzoffiana) cuyas cualidades intrínsecas las tornan aptas para el consumo humano.
