Sumario:The main objective of this work is to develop an explanatory scheme of the colonial development in the region of Choromoros -Tucumán province- during the 17th century, trying to identify the aboriginal populations originating in the area and their subsequent insertion into the structure of the conquest. At the same time, the characteristics of the territorial occupation by the indigenous and Spanish population, their demographic, cultural and political situation are analyzed.
