| Sumario: | The present article presents a discussion on thedevelopment of the admission program of Escuela IndustrialSuperior, which is a secondary technical school inthe city of Santa Fe, Argentina, and belongs to UniversidadNacional del Litoral (EIS–UNL). This work describesthe various involved admission instances and providesrelevant indicators for analyzing the context in whichprimary and secondary levels are assembled. Based onseveral questions, this work aims at finding the groundsfor using an admission exam. Even though it is selectiveand excluding, it is seen as an analytic tool to pursueeducational equity in the educational system. Moreover,and taking into consideration these questions, this worksystematizes a series of assumptions and hypotheses regardingthe central problems that converge into an institutionwhich receives students from different places ofthe city and surrounding areas. Also, the strategies designedby the institution’s departments to favor and ensurethe pursued equity are described. |
