Sumario:The article examines the process of the emergence and consolidation of regionalizations within subnational state organizations in an Argentine state, focusing on the moments when they were introduced, the modalities in which they were carried out, and the territorial projects with which they were associated. The study provides insight into the succession of regional images employed by political elites to perceive and assess space during the construction of the interventionist state. The findings offer a way to understand the temporal changes in subnational territorial configurations and the gradual emergence of regional inequality as a state issue.
