| Sumario: | The reviewed book, Como una ola: procesos y trayectos de rockeras de Concepción, 1980–2015 by Rodrigo Pincheira Albrecht, examines the musical experiences and activities of prominent women in the rock scene in the city of Concepción, Chile. According to the author, this topic deserves attention due to the scarcity of documentation on the participation and prominence of rock women in said local music scene. The work is divided into two main sections. In the first part, short essays are presented whose purpose is to introduce readers to the themes that will later be explored through the collected testimonies. The second part highlights the experiences in music, especially in the field of rock, of nine women from Concepción. |
