Sumario:The University and Intercultural relationship is a problem that continues to be absent not only in the design of university policies, but also in debates in the scientific and cultural fields. It is not enough to recognize diversity within the framework of a democratic and multicultural liberalism; nor is it about essentializing ethnic identities. The challenge is to think of interculturality not as a destination but as a work tool that allows for the transformation of epistemic structures, but also political and social structures, the basis on which inequalities are based. In this sense, the University is key since it is here where teachers are trained for all cycles of the educational system and professionals who occupy positions of power in the political, economic and social spheres.
