| Sumario: | Following the declaration of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Argentine government enforced the Social, Preventive, and Mandatory Isolation, suspending non-essential activities and in-person classes. This transformed online and virtual education, highlighting the importance of access to ICT. This study analyzes the ICT accessibility of students in Tierra del Fuego and its relevance in peripheral higher education, based on data derived from 2000 responses from students at the National University of Tierra del Fuego. The results and conclusions examine perceptions of virtual tools and address the challenges of their adoption. Within this context, multiple contributions and reflections are made regarding the state's role in promoting science and higher education, as well as the role of these technologies in peripheral contexts. |
