Sumario:The question plays an importan! role in learning. In the case of history, it favors the investigation of information and knowledge about historical processes, the construction of dialogues with the past in relation to one's own life experiences, and the observation of possible indicators of learning about the past for the understanding of the present in perspective of future. In other words, the question is an importan! and mobilizing factor in the construction ofhistorical knowledge. Tn this article 1 develop an approximation to the place ofthe question in the learning ofhistory. For this, 1 present two cases of teaching practice that 1 understand allow us to observe in part the diversity of questions asked by students in history classes. l n particular, focusing on what do high school students ask in history classes? Why do they ask their questions? And what types of questions can be identified in their formulations? Aspects that, taken into account, can contribute to a more adequate orientation ofthe Jearning ofthe school history.
