| Sumario: | This article aims at pointing at some subjects and elements
for the reflection concerning the presence and role of the
economical in the geographical analysis. The discussion had
for base the analysis of the doctorate thesis presented at
FFLCH/USP in the period of 1970-2001 whose themes and
approach forms were identified in the extent of the Economic
Geography. Starting from this analysis, they were identified
by the main influences relative to the economical references
and we could say that introducing historical materialism
through theories, concepts, ideas and methodological
statements has been the main way of highlighting the
economic element in geographic analysis, since the
theoretical-methodological basis employed in this work allows
for a strengthening of the economic element, which takes the
central role in the analyses. |
