Sumario:This work presents the results of an exploration of some technological tools used for the teaching of natural sciences in secondary education (middle school and high school). We asked teachers who work in the Costa Rican education system which technological tools they use in their classes. To collect the information, an on line instrument for data collection was applied to a group of 44 teachers of Natural Sciences.  The results showed that teachers use very few technological tools in their classes; in addition, most of the teachers have not been trained in the use of the Information and Communication Technologies.
